Hey

Thanks for diving in to help. I have a bit more wiki-gardening to do and then some mailing list announcements will go out. Be sure to let me know if you have any ideas once that's available to read. In the meantime, I gave you sysop rights here too. Cheers, Steven Walling at work 21:25, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Steven, you're welcome. I'll do what I can to help. PeterSymonds 21:46, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ooops!

I intended to translate MediaWiki:Sidebar/ca instead the other one. Is this right? Sorry for the caused problems. --Martorell 19:49, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Martorell, thanks for diving in! Unfortunately I don't believe localisation of the MediaWiki interface locally will make any difference. It all has to take place at translatewiki:. I made the same mistake yesterday before realising. If you create an account and follow the instructions to request translator rights, you can do it there. Thanks! Yes, I agree with you. But what I intend to do is to translate the "customized" messages in the sidebar like "Organize", "Share" or "Design", not the system messages. I'm already translating the system messages at translatewiki: long time ago. I supposed maybe the multilingual function would work here like as it does at commons:, making a suffix with the language code "/XX" in the title page, i.e. MediaWiki:Sidebar/ca. --Martorell 20:52, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah, I was under the impression that it all went to Translatewiki. I was apparently misinformed. :-) If it works, go for it! Unfortunately yesterday we couldn't get it to work, but you might have more luck. Thanks. PeterSymonds 21:15, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Girls and/or Guys. The "customized" messages can be added in this wiki. See my sandbox for the messages involved. I used your MediaWiki:Sidebar/ca and MediaWiki:Sidebar/ka to add the translations. HenkvD 10:59, 18 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
