P.S. Hi Mohamed. Moushira gave me an update about your tentative schedule and the delay. If you could fill that in here at the Cairo page, or add a different update if plans have changed again, that would be great.

NGOs

Dear Mohamed Ouda,

My name is Maged Mahfouz and I'm an undergraduate at Cairo University. I have strong access to several NGOs in Cairo University and different faculties, including one that involves Dr. Heba Nassar, the vice-president. I already spoke with the organizing head of that organization and she was very excited about pursuing this event, however, she needs a vision for the event. I have a few ideas in mind but they mostly revolve around an awareness event on the importance of Wikimedia, how it influenced the world, how to use Wikimedia and finally how to contribute. Resources including ready-to-go teams who have experience in organizing large 500+ attendees conferences, large conference halls within CU (for example, the Faculty of Law theater) and, possibly, sponsorship for the event are available. Anyway, if you're interested, contact me and maybe we can pursue this further.

Thank you, MagedMahfouz 21:59, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
