Online Campaign

Wikipedians will make appeals to support Wikipedia through their writings at blog, mailing lists and social media.
Wikipedians will work to touch the milestone of 25,000 articles at Bengali Wikipedia.
Wikipedians will improve Bengali Wikipedia articles so that the number of Good article reach 25 at least.
Wikipedians will improve Bengali Wikipedia articles so that the number of Featured article reach 5 at least.
Wikipedians will improve at least 100 Bengali Wikipedia articles through spelling and grammatical corrections.

Wikipedia Workshop

Wikipedia Workshop for bloggers community is a part of Wiki-X event which will be held tentatively on Friday, 7th January. The academy is to teach the members of the blogger community in Bangladesh, who have the facilities and the knowledge on how to post their knowledge on the Web in Bengali language, but are not entirely aware of Wikipedia, how its works and how to contribute to Wikipedia- especially in Bengali language. Moreover they are also interested in contributing to Wikimedia Commons with their photos and videos. So from the academy we are expecting that some of the bloggers will learn about Wikipedia as well as Commons. And will spread the knowledge to their fellow bloggers.

We are expecting at least 50 participants at this academy.

Kite Flying Festival

On 14th January there will be a day long traditional event at Dhaka, where people will fly kites. We are also participating that event with a Wikipedia marked kite. The estimated number of participants is 20-30. But participants have to confirm first and have to be pay for the facilities.

Wikipedia Birthday Party

We have a Birthday party on 15th January, 2011. We'll celebrate the party with a party cake and High tea. Around 100 people (Wikipedians, well-wishers, journalists, guests) are joining. Also we are planning video clip screening about Wikipedia at the party and some raffle draws.
