Adding Bhopal to 'Category:India and Bangladesh' & 'Category:Asia'

I dunno how to add Bhopal in the category...can you please do it for me

Done by somebody else already. HenkvD 23:13, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

For diving in and contributing on the Main Page, 10 year images, and with other stuff. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help you out, Steven Walling at work 20:07, 16 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I made you a sysop here, in case you'd like to translate into Dutch (you have to have the rights to edit the sidebar, for example). Steven Walling at work 19:12, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. HenkvD 19:15, 17 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, out of curiosity, are you going to make it to the Netherlands events for the anniversary? Steven Walling at work 19:51, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No the Dutch Chapter is. I am just one of the many members of the chapter, not participating in organising the event. Will most likely attend. HenkvD 22:09, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I just wanted to know if you were attending. You've been so helpful making sure all the localized pages are updated, I want to make sure you get a t-shirt if you want. Steven Walling at work 22:30, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for helping me! :D-- 23:33, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Perth

We have had problems in other wikis about more than one perth which is why we qualify the state as well :) SatuSuro 00:44, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've corrected the scaling a bit. The map seems more-or-less correct for scaling factors of ½, 1, and 2. For 4, perhaps things start to seem a tad off, but not by much. The numbers 13.5 and 11.5 in Template:Testonmap are fudge factors; feel free to tinker with them. – Minh Nguyễn (talk, contribs) 00:34, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you VERY MUCH. HenkvD 09:24, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ahmedabad

Please explain why Ahmedabad should be deleted. HenkvD 12:48, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That's because I created it by mistake in the morning, instead of w:en:New Delhi. Sorry about that. Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington 13:53, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this. Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington 13:55, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

EventList

Hey, do you know how to remove some of the whitespace above Africa and South America in the template? I fiddled with it but can't for the life of me fix it. Thanks, Steven Walling at work 20:05, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

it is because Africa, Southa America and Auastralia are all on the same height. Asia has too many events, even in two rows.... ;) Or North America is lacking some events.... ;) Balancing the 2 columns in Asia will clear some the space above Africa HenkvD 20:10, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of languages

I saw, that on some pages like this there are no places like Rijeka or something that is just new. Do I need to add some places or that will do some bot or you? --Anton008 15:30, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Adding an new event to Template:Eventmap will be enough to show a place on all maps. Maybe a small delay due to caching.
Adding to Template:EventList will add it to the Main Page, but not to the main pages in other languages. This needs to be done manually.
Adding a category for the date like Category:2011-01-15 will add it automatically to the calendar.

Deletion of page...?

Hello dear me:

Please why did you delete this page …?--ترجمان05 13:07, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This page was complety empty (no date, place, organizer). HenkvD 13:58, 11 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

PL interface

Hi! Could you, please, make some changes for the user interface:

Sincerely, --Mikołka (talk) 12:25, 12 January 2011 (UTC)

Done, but chaninge MediaWiki:Sidebar/pl has no effect on this site. HenkvD 18:49, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thx :) Proper .js configuration was proposed by User:Leinad on the WikiX-l mailing list, to enable this. --Mikołka (talk) 21:47, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Mainpages

Hey, I know, registered people from Denmark, Norway etc. with mother language in preferences will see empty mainpage, but I hope it will encourage them to create mainpages in their languages :-) As an interim solution for the most popular languages we can make a redirects to the English mainpage. Arbitrary Renaming of Events: It is Ruhrgebiet, not Essen

Can you tell me why Ruhrgebiet was renamed und redirectred to Essen. This is the event for the Ruhrgebiet (Ruhr Area) and it takes place in Essen. We are also celebrating RUHR.2010-Cultural Capital of Europe there. Essen also was the nominal head for all the other 52 communities in this area. I would like to ask you to revert these changes. If anything at all you can make a redirect from Essen to Ruhrgebiet. --Wuselig 21:21, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I merged two pages wit hte same information, and decided for the city, not the region. I reverted that now to the region Ruhrgebiet. HenkvD 22:07, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
thanks. Talking about merging. We now have a page for the Online Event and we have a page for the Video Chat. Wouldn't it make sense to merge these two pages and create one sortable table to see in one glance which worldwide events are online simultaneously and how they can contact each other individually or by inviting groups that are online within the same timeframe, instead of having to refer to two tables (actually in case of Germany three, because there is also a local list there and not all events in that third list are listet here because of language phoebia). --Wuselig 22:55, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I think you are right, but I leave it up to you (editors of Video Chat and Online Event). Be Bold. HenkvD 22:56, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

red dots

Hi. We have only a part of events on the map. Best regards. Przykuta 18:57, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is bacuase of lack of time of me and others. HenkvD 18:59, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stats

Hi, I guess this wiki is not going to be abandoned after last Saturday, so can we update Template:EventList and Template:Number of events in order to list only future events? Thanks. --Elitre 08:39, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't thik it is a good idea for Template:EventList, but I will try to make a new template for Number of future events. You canso look at the calendar. HenkvD 18:44, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I saw that you succeeded with the template. Shouldn't the home page reflect this? I can't see the point in stating a number of events nobody can attend any longer. --Elitre 13:24, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done. The text now reads: Today, there are xx events around the globe. In total there are xxx events, of wich xx you can still attend. HenkvD 16:49, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

User page protection

Hi Henk, Would you please protect my user page on this wiki, as well as the talk page (if possible), which is a soft redir to my homewiki. Thanks, --Mikołkatalk (plwiki)e-mail 17:24, 15 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done. HenkvD 11:39, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thx :) --Mikołkatalk (plwiki)e-mail 12:58, 16 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

thank you

Thanks for the nice welcome and fixing the soft redirect on my userpage. Cheers, Crazymonkey1123 21:53, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
