Organizing the event

Volunteering & Participating

Can we plan to have the event with about 100 participants? 3 of proposed activities under the event agenda are to be led by Wikipedia contributors; hence I think we need to have atleast 3 active Wikipedia contributors as lead volunteers. --Naik 18:21, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Venue, Facilities & Funds

Activities planned

I believe we can plan for about 2-4 hours (depending on the participant interest) and include events like Debate / Quiz / Painting for school and college students relating to Wikipedia themes apart from presentations, talks & discussions. Also, preceding the event, we can invite entries for an essay writing contest to be submitted by email or post. The overall purpose should be to raise awareness about Wikipedia and involve more people to contribute towards knowledge sharing. What do you feel? --Naik 18:21, 14 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
